Workaround to stop iPhone from autoplaying on your car stereo

If there’s one thing I can’t stand it’s listening to the same song over and over again. If I wanted to listen to the same song repeatedly I’d just listen to mainstream radio like a marionette. Most car stereos force you to listen to the same song when you plug in a USB device. It will always autoplay the 1st song in your playlist alphabetically.

Luckily there’s a workaround on iPhone that stops this. Go to Settings > Cellular and turn off “Music.” I don’t stream music with the Music app, so I don’t need this feature turned on.

This worked for me. Now I can plug in my iPhone, and I don’t have to rush choose music, or streaming radio stations while having to hear the same song start playing immediately every time. Sanity saver.
